Pocket Book Plant
Calceolaria herbeohybrida (Calceolaria ‘Cinderella’ Mix)
Light: Bright Indirect Light
An exotic bloomer loved by Victorian era gardeners, it is sometimes known as the “Pocketbook Plant” for its large and puffed up, colorful flowers. This variety comes in brilliant shades of red, yellow, and orange, all with or without small dots. It is compact and easy to grow: just make sure that it is a cool location protected from frost and wind; they do equally well indoors or out. Here in Texas, they are only available during the cooler months of late winter and early spring.
