Calendula officinales (‘Art Shades’)

Life: Annual

 

Size: 24″

 

Light: Full Sun

 

Water: Average, Drought Tollerant Once Established

 

Soil: Any

 

Very easy to grow, this variety will provide beautiful 3-4″ double or semi-double frilled flowers in bright shades of apricot, orange, primrose and cream from fall through winter and early spring. They love the cool weather and only need protection during a severe cold spell. The long stems make them good candidates for cut flowers. Keep spent blooms deadheaded to promote new bud.

Calendula officinales (‘Bon Bon’ Series)

Life: Annual

 

Size: 12″

 

Light: Full Sun

 

Water: Average, Well Drained, Drought Tollerant Once Established

 

Soil: Any

 

A compact grower, this variety will provide beautiful 2½-3″ fully double flowers in bright shades of solid yellow or orange, or a mix of bright and soft yellows, orange, and apricot. They love the cool weather from fall to spring and only need protection during a severe cold spell. They make long-lasting cut flowers, and in fact the more flowers that are cut off, the more new blooms will be created. Deadhead spent flowers to promote new buds.
