Australian Violet or Viola hederacea, is a wonderful perennial ground cover. Australian Violets have dark green leaves shaped like a paddle, with a sweet little white flower with a purple center. They grow to about 6 inches tall, but they mostly like to trail. This is a great plant to edge a pot with to trail over the side. Australian Violets like light shade and regular water. They are very easy to grow, with blooms throughout the year.
