Pansy – Cool Wave

Pansy ‘Cool Wave’ Mix

Viola wittrockiana

pansy for houston

Previously, the original seed grown trailing pansy was marketed under the name ‘Plentifall’.  With a low growing, spreading habit and non-stop flowering they are perfect in hanging baskets and pots plus they can be used in the landscape as winter-hardy, annual groundcovers.   These medium-size blooms are more rain tolerant than larger pansy flowers and are extremely winter hardy. Growing only 6-8 inches tall and 18-24 inches across, these annuals are bestplanted in full to partly sunny beds or pots in the fall to enjoy through the winter and spring.  The more you pick the blooms to enjoy as cut flowers or as a salad ingredient (they are edible!), the more buds they produce.
