Plant Profile:
Life: Perennial
Size: 18″
Light: Full to Partial Sun
Water: Good Drainage, Drought Tollerant
Soil: Any

Valued as an ornamental plant due to its showy, Hibiscus-like flowers that range from bright pink to red and can be up to three inches across. So long as the okra-like seed pods are picked off, it will continue to flower from spring until the first frost. If seeding is desired, leave the last fall set on the plant to ripen. The leaves are alternate, rough, and hairy, with three to five lobes and serrated margins. The root-stock grows each year, resulting in larger clumps of plants every spring. Requires good drainage, but once established it will be very drought-tolerant.
